Celebrating 11 Years of Togetherness: Puri Gangga Resort Holds Environmental Event at Gunung Kawi Temple, Sebatu
As part of its 11th anniversary celebration, Puri Gangga Resort proudly hosted a meaningful environmental event on April 15, 2025, at the sacred site of Gunung Kawi Temple, Sebatu. This year’s celebration carried the theme “Celebrate the Journey – 11 Years Together,” which not only reflects our gratitude for over a decade of hospitality but also our commitment to giving back to the community and the environment.
The event began with “Mereresik” — a traditional Balinese cleansing ritual — where the Puri Gangga team, together with community members and staff, gathered to clean the area around the temple. This activity aims to respect and preserve the temple environment while fostering a deeper connection with nature. Before the event began, we performed prayers at Gunung Kawi Temple to facilitate the event.
After cleaning, the team held a tree planting ceremony in the temple area. By planting trees, we hope to contribute to the ecological balance of the area and inspire others to participate in preserving our shared environment.
This effort is more than just a physical act of service—it reflects the philosophy of Puri Gangga Resort: to offer a holistic experience that connects nature, culture, and well-being. We believe that tourism should not only bring joy to our guests, but also add value to the land and community where we live. This is closely related to the concept of Tri Hita Karana – Pabelasan, the relationship between humans and their environment.
As we celebrate this 11-year journey, we acknowledge that our achievements are made possible by the support of our guests, staff, local partners, and the wider community. Through this initiative, we hope to set an example for sustainable tourism and foster continued awareness of environmental responsibility.
